Cooking Show: Homemade Hummus

Homemade Hummus from the Mom Who Can't Cook Show's Catenya McHenry

PREPARATION: Approximately 5-7 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

  • Garbanzo Beans- 1 Can (drain and set liquid aside for later)
  • Tahini Ground Sesame Paste – 3 tablespoon
  • Fresh Lemon Juice- 2 teaspoon
  • Salt- 1 scant teaspoon
  • Minced Garlic- 2-3 teaspoon
  • Crushed Red Pepper- 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin- 1 teaspoon

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Blend all food ingredients in food processor or blender until smooth. Add small amounts of reserved garbanzo bean liquid until it reaches desired consistency.
  2. Transfer to serving bowl
  3. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika

OPTIONAL: try different variations by adding sun-dried tomatoes, pine nuts, feta, or roasted red peppers
