How- To: Wear Multi-Directional Stripes

There was a time when wearing stripes in opposing directions was a fashion faux pas. Not these days! Fashion is about expressing your own individual style and stripes is a fantastic trend of 2014. Stripes heading vertically or horizontally and worn together is salaciously chic and worth a try.

Style Tip: Go bold and simple- put them all together. A bold horizontal stripe paired with a vertical simpler pinstripe, is perfectly acceptable. Combine statement accessories and luggage colored sandals to tie in the gold hues and the entire look.

Red is expected with black and white stripes. Do the unexpected and add a little turquoise color pop.

The look can easily be worn without the blazer. You can also pair another skirt or trousers with any hue in the crayon box; white, hot pink, cobalt blue, butter yellow, ruby red and so many more. The look can even be styled with denims.
