VIDEO: ReStyling My Fave ‘Show Me Your Mumu’ Dress in 2-Minutes

My new fashion brand obsession is Show Me Your Mumu. The catchy label does conjure up interesting visuals in your brain but I guarantee you, these pieces are not your sloppy, “I don’t want to be seen while I quickly throw something on and run to the store,” looks. The brand prides itself on California chic, comfortable, ‘it feels like you’re wearing a mumu’ fabrics and FUN to wear graphic prints and patterns! Each piece I’ve tried on is congruent with those adjectives and right now, it’s my new style love. My LA blood flows fierce so anything that takes me back to memories of home, I’m sold. WATCH me style it 2 ways in 2 minutes.

THIS dress… This dress was mine as soon as I tried it on. It is ferociously feminine and perfectly cut on the shoulders. The rest just falls in place on the body and any body will feel all woman wearing it. Seriously, any curve, groove or anything your body is, will work in this dress, no matter your body type.

Style Evolution: My favorite fact about this piece is its versatility, fitting nicely into my Nothing2Wear mission. It can be styled and re-worn a couple different ways. First, as a dress and again as a duster, styled with a tank or tunic and leggings underneath. My accessories in the first look are two platinum gray necklaces that I layered.

Style Tip: Never be afraid of breaking up the set. The belt, on any outfit, can be re-worn as an accessory. In this case, the dress’ belt is re-styled as a headwrap. It can also be re-worn as a scarf. When you re-style a look, use it as an opportunity to swap accessories too. Look 2 called for a longer necklace with an accent hue. Red is a great color against a strong black and cream python print.
