Happy Thanksgiving!

Today we’ll share what we’re thankful for, wear our fat pants so we can eat lots of food, watch football or even play it in the yard. But after today, will we all go back to our lives? Will we plan our Black Friday strategy to tackle the best deals and the people that get in our way if they see that deal first? Or will we be different this year? Will we actually take what we’re thankful for and let it change us for the better or will we just say it in words to get it over with at the dinner table. Will we actually be changed after today?

One of my favorite designers Rachel Roy coined the phrase, “Kindness is always Fashionable.” I love this! Fashion and style are not just about clothes but about an attitude, an idea, a decision about how we will go about life and treat other people. It’s difficult at times to decide to be kind but I’m thankful for each day, for new opportunities to be different, to be kinder.

As you celebrate with family, friends or if you’re alone this Thanksgiving, maybe today is a new beginning and a chance to let what we’re thankful for change us for the better.
