Current Obsession: ‘Love Yourself’ Valentine’s Day Gift Guide

I can’t pretend that I love Valentine’s Day. Personally, I don’t care too much for it. The one day out of the year that people pretend to like each other with flowers and chocolates and then go back to hating each other the next day seems hypocritical to me. I believe one should share and show love every day with the way they treat other other. Speaking a compliment, showing respect by what you do or say or even a heartfelt ‘thank you’ are simple ways to show someone how much you love them.  Something I think is just as important as showing love to others, is showing yourself some love too.

Whether or not you have a significant other, it’s incredibly sexy, attractive and life-changing to take some time and love yourself. Here are my 6 ‘Love Yourself’ Gift Ideas.

  1. On Gossamer– Starting your day with the right undies+lingerie can change your entire day’s outlook. Feeling good, confident and positive on the inside will automatically shine through. Toss out those saggy beige granny panties and look as good as you feel. $16-$48, ongossamer.com 44_FLORALPUNGE_BLACK_001_172-RT20_G3933_PLUNGE_DPLUM_503_063

2. Here A Chick, There A Chick– Loving yourself sometimes means elevating your outfit with meaningful statement accessories. A piece that tells a story and speaks to heart has my heart. I’ve recently purchased a few investment pieces from one of my favorite vintage jewelry designer’s, Kerry Leasure. Each of her pieces are reborn from a time past, designed from vintage trinkets, charms, lockets and more. $20 and up, hereachickthereachick.com

6. Trestique– My mother’s mantra, “Always look your best because you never know who you’ll meet.” I think about that phrase every time I get dressed and head out the door. Obviously, wearing makeup everyday is not necessary but for me, a little color on the cheeks and lips can go a long way. I LOVE Trestique’s dual-action makeup crayons because they simplify the morning makeup routine in a cinch. Their 8 essentials enhance your look just enough without overdoing it. I think every girl should have a red lip color in her makeup bag. $25 and up, trestique.comlip-crayon-product-treswitch-chile-red
